The communities are quiet, yet they are also “right in the center of everything.” Being so close to the QEW, they are only a 15 minute drive into the city. However, there is no reason to leave, because both communities offer amazing restaurants, fitness facilities, shopping, and entertainment. The residents feel pride by supporting local businesses and in 2016, the residents stopped a Walmart from entering the community.

It’s hard to drive down a residential street and find a house without a hockey net or a basketball hoop outside. The community is safe, and the residents create a culture of traditional family values. Most residents are either life-long residents who grew up in the community, or have moved from Toronto to start a family. In recent years, the architecture of the communities evolved. The homes from the early 60s are being replaced with custom homes that feature beautiful details like copper eaves, slate roofing, and beautifully landscaped yards. Although, there are many bungalows and original homes, which have been lovingly updated. The city is also ensuring the safety of the large trees, by requiring builders to pay a deposit which is held until the home is built and the tree is unharmed.
the harbour
Snuggled along the shores of Lake Ontario, you’ll find one of the most picturesque harbors in Ontario. The harbour caters to several community events a year, including Buskerfest. Snug Harbour, is one of the communities best restaurants, which overlooks the harbour.
Schools and raising a family
Mineola and Port Credit both offer above average schools, community amenities, and cultural events. It’s a community where residents can venture to the local restaurants and coffeeshops in the early afternoon. And, unwind in their private residences in the evening.
