Wedgewood Creek sits at the doorstep of two major retail centres.

In the northwest, the largest and newest retail centre is anchored by Walmart Supercentre, Longo’s, Real Canadian Superstore, and Canadian Tire, alongside two to three dozen smaller retailers offering everything from quick takeout to a sit-down steak dinner.

In the southeast — in the more established part of the neighbourhood — you’ll find a retail plaza anchored by Metro, featuring bakeries, bars, and a local breakfast spot.

Wedgewood Creek was designed as a master-planned community and features established parks, a trail system, and the same excellent community centre shared with Joshua Creek. The Iroquois Ridge Community Centre and Library — combined with Iroquois Ridge High School — is a shared amenity for both neighbourhoods, offering swimming, a fitness centre, a gym, tennis courts, a baseball diamond, and more.

Wedgewood Creek falls within both the Halton District School Board and the Halton Catholic District School Board, and, like its neighbour Joshua Creek, benefits from some of the best-performing schools in Ontario.

Falgarwood Public School (JK–8) is the regular-track public elementary school serving most of the neighbourhood, feeding into Iroquois Ridge for high school. Parents love Falgarwood, though it ranks average on the Fraser Institute guideline — a rating that can be affected by the school’s special education programming.

Munn’s Public School (Grades 2–8) is a highly ranked French Immersion school. Programming starts at Grade 2 here; students who need French Immersion earlier begin at Falgarwood and transfer after Grade 1.
